Implant Placement

A dental implant is actually a prosthetic tooth root that is placed directly into the jaw in order to support a dental restoration. Dr. Greenwood can perform this right in our office. After it is completed, you’ll be given a few months to heal before you return to our office to receive your brand new teeth.

Implant-Retained Crowns & Bridges

If you are missing a single tooth, an implant-retained crown can provide a replacement virtually identical to a real tooth. It will consist of an all-porcelain dental crown attached to the implant via a metal support called an abutment, and once this is done, you can trust it to look and function seamlessly with your other teeth.

We can also use two of these implant crowns to form a bridge to replace multiple missing teeth in a row. Two implant crowns will be placed on either side of the missing ones, and these will be bonded to prosthetic teeth to close the gap.

Implant-Retained Prosthetics

Dental implants can even be used to support a denture that is much stronger and more reliable than your typical removable prosthetic. With implant-retained dentures, a specially-designed denture will snap directly onto implants placed within the jaw to create a set of teeth that have a solid fit. Compared to traditional dentures, the fit is not only better, but it lasts longer as well, plus they enable a patient to have a much stronger bite force. With them, eating a varied and healthy diet will be easier than ever.
